Spotlight: SnapPower
Launched March 2014, the SnapPower Guidelight held promise to be a replacement for the standard plug-in night light and the hardwired guide lights found on the market. Installation literally takes seconds and requires no wires or batteries. The design simulates the look look of a standard electrical outlet cover plate in the home. The twist is the Guidelight is equipped with integrated LED lighting. It provides safe and beautiful illumination by night and blends right into home by day. And it doesn’t take up one or both of the outlets. Need even more convenience? The SnapPower Guidelight includes a light sensor that automatically turns the LEDs on in the dark and off in the light.
Fast forward only one year and the SnapPower USB Charger was launched. Tired of trying to locate the bulky plug-in chargers for your phone, tablet or the dozen other devices you need to charge? And the you have to figure how to plug them all in like a bad example of Origami? Just like the SnapPower Guidelights, the SnapPower Charger uses the same prong technology to draw power directly from your electrical outlets. No batteries. No wires. No time. Just like the SanpPower Guidelight they install in seconds. The USB Charger is perfect for any and every room in the house and its low profile design allows for easy access to a USB charge behind large furniture without having to move the furniture.

Jeremy is the inventor of the SnapPower SwitchLight. Sixteen years ago, while working as an electrician for his local school district, Jeremy had a stroke of inspiration resulting in a better way to light homes at night. After many long nights and failed prototypes, he eventually landed on the design for his new night-light. In 2014, without a penny to his name and with help from Kickstarter, Jeremy and his team secured enough demand and funding to get his new invention off the ground.
